So how many of you have been to the Google Earth web site? It’s a site that shows detailed satellite maps of locations all over the world. Some areas even have views so detailed you can see YOUR house.
I’ve looked up all your addresses and posted two maps below. Click on the ‘view larger map’ button under one of my maps shown below. Click on the pin that you think is your house. Then click on the little photo that pops up. You’ll actually see a satellite photo of your house (you may first have to click on the little yellow ‘person’ icon that comes up). If you click inside the picture it gives you a 360 degree view of your street. Keep in mind these satellite pics could be a couple of years old.
If you don’t see a photo of your house then that means the street view is probably not available of your house (yet). They start with the more populated areas of the country but it’s only a matter of time before everything gets posted online.
It is kind of scary to think that anyone, anywhere in the world, can see YOUR house. Osama Bin Laden could be watching you make pancakes every morning.
My house doesn’t show up on here and neither does Desiree’s, Arlene’s, and most of my family. You can see a view of our streets or our areas but not a closeup of our houses. So we can still make our pancakes in peace. I was able to see everyone else’s houses though. My area is so rural that my street location is not even listed correctly; much less my house. The road that they show listed as King’s Court Estates is not my street; it’s someone’s circular driveway. Maybe they’ll get it right the next time they do their updates.
The first map below shows friends’ houses. The second map has my family. If you can’t find yourself on one of the maps below, let me know your address and I’ll add you. After you finish checking out where everyone else lives, take a little virtual trip to the Grand Canyon, Tokyo or Mongolia. Happy exploring!
Note: Remember to first click on the ‘view larger map’ button under one of the maps. Then click on your pin or use the arrows on the top left corner of the maps to zoom in or out to other places.

I’ve looked at this before. It really is kind of scary thinking that somebody in another country could be looking at my house. The picture is really detailed at my house – you can see my green roof, my pontoon boat, both of our vehicles, and my neighbor’s pool. I doubt that Osama has much interest in my little neighborhood, although I don’t live very far from the Marathon refinery.
WOW, We definitely don’t have any privacy, do we? The picture of my house is one taken before I bought it, so it looks much prettier now, with flowers and green grass. However, I still need to get new garage doors, paint outside and some more inside…and fix a whole bunch of stuff. Home sweet home, though….until the kids are done with college. Then, I’m getting out of this California RAT RACE!!
